  • Model of GP-18 by S.A. McCall

    It is a GP-18, done after a pic in "EMD's GP-18 the transitional road switcher" by Diesel era. See page 16 middle picture, caption says 1964. There is another pic of #1751 on page 43 middle photo. The caption reads "Five members of Boston & Maine's six-unit GP-18 fleet, including 1754, utilized BL2 and F2 trade-ins and had four 36-inch cooling fans, rather than the standard 48-inch fans. Picture is dated 1979 and shows 1751 rather than 1754. By this date the paint had changed to the red-white-blue stripes and a minuteman on nose.
